Board of Advisors
The Board of Advisors provides strategic guidance and policy guidelines in line with the mission and vision of Angels Compassion. They oversee project implementations and provide advice on new opportunities.
Dr. Angella Musiimenta
Dr. ANGELLA MUSIIMENTA (Chief Executive Director of Angels Compassion—CED) holds a PhD in Information Systems (focusing on using Information Technology to fight HIV/AIDS among the youth) from The University of Manchester — UK, an MSc in Information Systems from the University of Leeds — UK, and a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) — Uganda. She is a Senior Faculty and heads the Department of Information Technology at MUST. She is also currently coordinating various community-based projects including those that focus on mobile health, HIV/AIDS, vocational education, and STEM education. In Uganda and beyond, Dr. Musiimenta has always taken a lead in championing girl child education, women and youth empowerment, HIV/AIDS prevention, and child and maternal health. She has served as a Global Youth Leader with Women Deliver, and Youth Rights Advocate with UNFPA.
Dr. JESSICA HABERER
Dr. JESSICA HABERER (Member, Board of Advisors of Angels Compassion) received a bachelor's degree in the Biological Sciences and a master's degree in Health Services Research from Stanford University, as well as a medical degree from Yale University. Dr. Haberer worked for the William J. Clinton Foundation HIV/AIDS Initiative in Beijing, China, where served as a Clinical and Research Advisor to the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention/ National Center for AIDS, Division of Treatment and Care. Dr. Haberer joined Massachusetts General Hospital and the Harvard Medical School in 2008, where she is actively involved in the study of wireless adherence monitoring technologies and strategies for developing settings, as well as adherence to pre-exposure prophylaxis against HIV infection. Additionally, she has been working on various projects in collaboration with Universities and organisations in Uganda for the past eight years.
Prof. Dr. Ing. TOMAS BENZ
Prof. Dr. Ing. TOMAS BENZ (Member, Board of Advisors of Angels Compassion) is A Faculty Dean at Heilbronn University Germany. He coordinates various educational and business advisory programmes in collaboration with Universities and organisations in low resource countries including Uganda and Vietnam.
